favorite podcasts for kids

We listen to a lot of podcasts in our home. I'm personally a fan of the true crime variety and can be found with ear buds in while doing chores while simultaneously listening to the details of gruesome murders. It keeps me just scared and paranoid enough to feel like I'm keeping my family safe, haha. But I digress, the podcasts I have my kids listen to are awesome and are not in the least bit murdery.

Podcasts are amazing for entertainment purposes, for learning and for meditation and good sleep!  Depending on the podcast, I will turn them on while they are working on an art project, when they are working with their hands, when we are driving or when they are laying in bed settling down for the night. Here are our tried and true podcasts that my kids truly love:

An extension of the amazing book, Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls, this podcast highlights the awesome women that have shaped the world today. All of us love listening together.

This podcast is AWESOME for teaching about classical music and their composers. The episodes are short and sweet and have led us to looking up different composers on Spotify afterwards and listening throughout the day. Highly recommend!

Do your kids ask, "but whyyyyyyyyy?" all the time? This podcast might save your life. But in all seriousness, it dives into all sorts of awesome questions that kids ask all the time.

This is by far my most recommended podcasts to fellow parents. It tells calming stories with meditative techniques to help your kids fall asleep. It works like a charm 9/10 and you NEED to be adding this podcast to your bedtime routine.

This podcast answers all sorts of science questions and is SO fun and engaging.

This is one silly podcast. It is an interactive music themed podcast and it gets your kids' creative brains going.
