hiking around tucson

 

The weather in Tucson has been ideal, so we've been getting outside as much as possible. Last weekend we hiked the Bear Creek trail as a family, which was pretty challenging for the kids, but they did great! Today I took the kids by myself to Sabino Canyon and we went on a leisurely hike observing and learning about different cacti, since we are studying the letter C this week. Can you even believe that heart shaped prickly pear? I love doing activities that instill a love for nature and that get our hearts pumping. It's always an added bonus that it wears out the kids and they want to nap later that day, haha.
